Tony Bruno - internationally acclaimed guitarist, musical director & composer 

Tony is well known in the music industry for being the musical director and guitar player for Grammy award winning artists such as Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Cher, K'naan, Nena, Janet Jackson, Colin Hay, to name a few.  Artists, record labels and management trust Tony to bring his extraordinary musical talent to the table to make any show a success. Tony stands apart by blending his deep musical knowledge (his fellow musicians respectfully call him a ‘living jukebox’ ) with that of the artist he is working with.

As an MD, Tony is responsible for all facets of Awards & TV shows working closely with the artist and the audio & visual people as a team. "We try never to repeat ourselves on TV shows. It’s important, especially with social media. You’re basically giving your audience a small collection of videos." Tony was instrumental in bringing Rihanna to superstardom which made him one of the go to musical directors in the industry.

Tony’s TV credits include: The Grammys, America’s Got Talent, La Voz Kids, X-Factor, the AMAs, The Letterman Show, Jay Leno, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Good Morning America, Top Of The Pops, MTV Music Awards, VMA’s, TRL (MTV), Wetten Dass?, Hitparade, The View, The Today Show, Ellen Degeneres, and countless others. 

As a guitarist, Tony has performed at any major concert venue in the world touring with multiple platinum recording artists such a Enrique Iglesias, Joan Jett, Nena, Cher, Colin Hay, Anastacia, Michael Bolton to name few. Although his background is rock, Tony is incredibly versatile in all styles of musical genres. His talent also brought him to one other stage every actor or musician dreams to perform: Broadway. Tony played guitar in Rock Of Ages and is the musical director and lead guitarist in the Broadway hit Rocktopia. “On stage I'm a very aggressive player. Either "bring it" or get the fuck off the stage!”

Tony has written and produced songs for top artists including Mandy Moore, Donna Summer, INXS, Colin Hay and Enrique Iglesias. His song Daylight in Your Eyes for German artists No Angels was the 2nd best selling German single of all time and 21 weeks #1 in the charts. From TV commercials and show themes to movie soundtracks, Tony has always found a way to bring a perfect sound to all his projects. Tony’s credits for composing music for film and TV include: the theme song for the hit TV show The Loud House, Forged in Fire, Tanked & Alaskan Bush People, The X Factor, America’s Got Talent, La Voz Kids, Popstars,  Rihanna’s Gucci campaign, ESPN, CBS Sports, the feature films A Walk To Remember and Catwoman and many more.

Born and raised in NY, Tony made a name for himself in the NY music scene early on with his own bands. His band Saraya was signed to Polydor records and released two records including the hit “Love Has Taken It’s Toll.”

The press is excited to announce the debut video of Tony Bruno’s new project ROCK ME AMADEUS. Tony and world renowned opera singer Alyson Cambridge co-created a new musical extravaganza of opera and classical music mashed up with rock songs with concerts planned in 2021. Throughout the Covid interruption, the duo is full steam ahead with this project and they are releasing new music videos every month until they can hopefully perform again in the coming year with an exciting all star cast and a live orchestra. The debut video, a mash up of Roxanne & Habanera, was just released and very well received by the press and fans.

Tony currently lives in Brooklyn and Woodstock, NY with his wife Karin and his 13 year old son Hendrix. In his recording studio, Tony and his writing partner Tommy Byrnes are currently working on the music for a new Sci-Fi show for Amazon based on the characters and songs of Billy Joel.  Tony and Tommy have also just started to record an album with Alexa Joel. Anticipated release date January 2021.
